Rotating 'windows' have been used on fishing boats and trains for decades in the form of the 'Kent Clearview' (or similar). This differed as it was a flat section of circular window set into the main window and driven by an electric motor.
Actually, there is a short you tube vid of some guy who did a similar thing to his full face lid - worked too, battery spun and all. Must have weighed a bit.
The available turbovisors today are fixed to a short peak, and are not pivoting, that's a shame as it needs to be lifted out the way when stopped for whatever. Cheapest I've seen is 38€ plus P&P from France at 21€, that's close to £60. Too much me.
