Good old IV=Watts comes into play here.
I=amps, V=volts and W=watts.
So Ix6=55. Therefore I (amps) = 9.16. Call it 10 amps. As MarkM said at 13 amps a 6 volt system is marginal. Stick say a 20 amp fuse in the circuit, but first try and find out if there is a short somewhere.
Other opinions may be available but this one is always correct.
