Why do I say that I here the multitude shout? Well Triumph produced their retro's with styling designed very deliberately to mimic the old Meriden Triumphs. That produced a reaction from those who remembered and revered the old Trumpets, which when allied to clever marketing and a good quality bike has paid dividends for the company.
Now Kawasaki have produced a good quality bike, as one would expect from a modern Japanese company. However they have no history of this style of bike to create the nostalgia for the make or specific model from the retro market. They would be better off to base their retros with Kawasaki theming...….green, sit up and beg race styling, perhaps even consider an up to date bike with the H1 look about it.
