So I spent the afternoon making some drastic changes to the KH carburation - carburation is now S3A spec which is much better than the KH 400 which is lean coming off idle, a bit "fat" in the middle and leans off at WOT.
Seems the Kawa Engineers were looking for better economy at the expense of a few horsepower, by way of carburation and silencers.
The changes entailed fitting some S3A needle jets which are no longer made, and hard to come by, but I manaaged to find some on E-Bay, also an irriversible change and that was taking 0.040" off the bottoms of the slides to make it richer coming off idle.
Thought long and hard about cutting the slides and sought a lot of advice - like many triple things they are very very hard to come by.
Hopefully get to try it out in the coming week depending on the weather.
Who needs a signature anyway......
