We called in to the supplying dealer yesterday, mainly for me have a look at a CF Moto bike (which the dealership also handles) to find that they have dumped Piaggio & will be concentrating on CF Moto & Norton going forward - still servicing the Piaggio bikes though, which is handy as the next nearest MG dealer is over 70 miles away (assuming that they are continuing to supply them in future). The dealer principle suggested that several Piaggio dealers had not renewed with them due to the unfeasible sales targets being demanded & the general attitude of Piaggio towards the dealers ("treated like sh!t" was the comment IIRC).
Good call with the centre stand - they are a pain to work on without. I changed the rear brake pads on Heather's bike on Friday prior to it getting an MoT (advisory on last years MoT & they were on the point of expiring when I got them out. 14750 miles covered), which was not easy with the caliper under the swing arm on the side stand side of the bike. And the next time in needs tyres it will be going in somewhere on a "ride in - ride out" basis !
