It is a completely different animal to the 411 version & I was suprised how big it is in the flesh - long wheelbase & quite tall. The riding position is much more spacious than the earlier bikes, with the knee cutouts in the tank further forward & the pillion seat "hump" further back. I could'nt get comfortable on the first generation 411 I rode due to being constrained by both the tank & seat, though the salesman said that the later re-vamp did change the tank & front frame rails due to complaints similar to mine - I have not ridden one of those.
Fit & finish look very good (every new model RE seems to be better than the last IMO), though I find the colours offered a bit meh. I might get a ride on one at some point, but I don't see myself owning one.
The big difference between the new Him & the 400 Triumph Scrambler is that the RE appears to have genuine off road capability, whereas the Triumph is an off-road styled street bike.
