Having the first one replaced allowed me to walk a lot more but i only managed 90 degrees of ben due to all the original injuries. It was worth doing 20 years ago. Neighbour had both knees replaced about 2 years ago. Former fireman and over 70 and his worked out well and walking without limp or pain now.
I have been taking tramadol every day for 15 years as my arthritis pain on every joint is severe. That has been topped up with gabapentine as the tramadol was not enough to conquer the pain. Surprising how the body can take a lot of tablets and not too many side effects. I take 12 various tablets a day. Tramadol is a very strong opiate type painkiller used after bone surgery usually for a few weeks. It is very addictive so i would have problems if i were to stop using these. I get no side effects from any tablets so very lucky
