Hood Jeans, UK made armoured jeans. I've used these for over a decade. In my third pair after two pairs mysteriously shrank when I stopped running marathons...

Latest, fatter, pair are now five years old and have developed a mysterious hole.

I emailed and the response was: send them back and we'll sort that out for you sir.

What could be better?

Well, it's at the bottom of the left leg and grew by itself. I wonder if battery acid got on it but none of mine have leaked to my knowledge.

It's grown by itself, that makes me think something corrosive has affected it.

I have some kevlar jeans but not got out to use them yet. I feel safe if wearing T shirt and shorts with a pair of sandals because i know i am not going to let myself hit the floor.
