The annual body check

I have been having this check each year at the Health Centre. It is showing up a few faults lately. The blood pressure is now fixed but had added £200 to my travel insurance this year. |
Recent test showed up i am borderline diabetic,so,i stopped added sugar right away for 3 months. This week, testing after 3 months with no added sugar, that my sugar level is exactly the same.
The next test is July, and, i am now told to keep carbohydrates down with no bread, potatoes or rice as that might be causing the highish sugar level.
I do eat a healthy diet already with at least 3 vegetables a day ,no sugar or fizzy drinks, no coffee. This is getting very tricky to find out how to lower sugar levels. At least, the local GP does have some specialist diabetic nurses in house for advice. Of course, i had no health problems at all that i knew of until the tests and so far, had some interesting finds .
The only problem i do have is the chronic osteoarthritis which limits any major excercising and i sold all my home gym gear due to the pain. I do walk quite a bit every day.
These tests are worth having as i also had cancer tests included which were clear. If i ever did have a bad result, at least it will only have been in the body for under a year.
I recommend these tests which are available by asking if you are over 60, but,be aware, travel insurance will rise considerably if you have a few faults.
