Phil Pearson engineering Posted by Lone Wolf on April 11, 2018, 2:52 pm 62.249.216.190 Wotcha. I've been trying to phone Phil Pearson engineering on the number given on their web page . . . http://www.bsagoldstar.co.uk/ . . .but just get a message saying "This number is not in service" Does anyone have the correct number ? Cheers.

Just tried the above number, and got a recorded message telling me "This number has been changed to *** " - the one on the webpage. Phoned the number again - this time it rang, rather than saying it's not in service. It rang four times, then hung up. Maybe he doesn't want to talk to people at the moment.

Really, only by reputation And marketing over a long period of time I suspect, there are lots of engine builders about just as competent, not just businesses, even single bike enthusiasts, Someone on here comes to mind who has a story to tell I’m sure.

Thing with Phil is he isn't just a brilliant engine buider but has designed and built many modified parts to improve bikes. He designed the one piece crank for Gold Stars plus GP Carb mods belt drive clutches twin leading shoe front brake plus many more parts. He prepare many of the race Goldies today and he makes them go very fast and it's rare to see one break down. He rebuilt my Goldie and all I had to do was ride it as hard as I wanted and never have a problem. All I ever did was change the engine oil every year. Mr Newbie is now enjoying my old bike that I sometimes wish I had never sold. As I said Steve just an old rockers opinion and yes of course their are many good engine builders out there. The oldest rocker in town!

It's either Phil or ABSAF over in Holland. . . . and if I'm having a new engine, then I might as well go for electric start 'cos sooner or later my "good" leg will fail. Still can't get him on the phone, and so far, no reply to my email either.
