A reasonable start made yesterday to the new campaign, although the merits of the result wont be clear for a few weeks yet, worryingly there were some eye-catching results yesterday by the likes of Kendal,Chorley,Mossley and Woodley etc.
On yesterdays performance im not totally convinced that all of Tommy,s new players are any better than some of those that left from last years squad and theres still a definate lack of pace in the team, apart from 1 or 2 exceptions, still we did manage to score two goals in one game which didnt happen too often last year so theres definately something to build on and as he said in the press Tommy is looking to bring the quality of the squad up over the next few weeks as things settle down around the non-league clubs,and im sure this will happen as i dont think the side we put out yesterday can seriously mount a challenge for honours...."Anyway its onto Fleetwood tuesday.....C,mon you blues ".
