For what it's worth I'd start with Jacko and Tony Evans, put Ryan and Nessie at the centre and Clarkey as a full back, probably left back. I'd also start with the left winger who came on as a sub, as he looked a real handful. Take nothing away from the Cod boys though. That was a very strong side we played last night, not just going forward but at the back as well, I'm thinking particularly of the bald bloke at left back. As we always knew, Tommy and Benny have to do their team development at the busiest time of the season in terms of games. However, anyone who thought we'd develop a brand new, fully functional team in two seconds flat was in cloud cuckoo land. I took quite a few positives from the game and I believe we'll have too much class for Harrogate on Saturday, even at this early stage.

Conceding a goal after 19 seconds and a second after nine minutes clearly was not the start we were looking for, especially as for both goals the defence seemed to melt in front of the opposition. However, I cannot have been the only one to think that we played more football last night than in the whole of last season,
