As to the point around income and gates, we are v appreciative of your loyal support.Talking to committee members at other clubs , they supplement the gate with club /social usage ..Fleetwood for example have a social do in their club most saturday nights , bringing in good revenue. They have a supporters club that generate income for the club.At least two other clubs have wealthy individuals investing money in the clubs to help generate success. One clubs bar takings is about 5 times that of ours , because of the better usage of their better facilities.Attendance does equate income but needs to be supplemented with other income too. Clitheroe F C has a reputation for good support..we need that now as we work to building a successful squad at this level , but we also need your social support too ..last saturdays Barbeque , being a case in point .Thankyou to the thirty three people who bought tickets and stopped for a drink or two ..but this figure represents about 1 in 7 of the people who attended the football...we really need our supporters to help us push Clitheroe F C forward in the right manner. If half our first team followers came and watched our reserves tonight and Friday night 7.45 pm at shawbridge and each home game thereafter it would be a step in the right direction. So far the support has been good , can we improve on that ?

good point, after watching last nights game , i also agree that fleetwood looked a v good side on the night , and playing like that were as good as any side we played last year, with odd exceptions. The forwards moved our defence around , the ball bounced of our players who were then generally beaten to the second ball and we had little team spirit in response.Their defence dominated in the air.Saying that , thats our second game together , Tommy and Benny are still working on the shape of the side , we look like a side in that transition..but over a season and two games we havent become a bad side .A good win in the cup on Saturday, two wins in the league next week and confidence will return..i agree with L D , we are trying to play more football..we may need to make slight changes but not wholesale..i also agree with suggestions about starting line up , but Tommy and Benny have a successful record ...lets back them in this knowledge.
Preparation , i cant answer , having watched most pre season training , Benny did a really good job , but with different personnel and a small squadto work with , that might have made a difference.Secondly , Tommy and Benny joined us into pre season and many of the better players from the Professional clubs release list had already been taken. No excuses though but reality last night was that fleetwood had picked up 2 or 3 good players through this approach.I know it is constantly on Tommy,s and Benny,s agenda.
