Sorry chaps , its just my eagerness to harness all the great work that goes on at the club and help generate revenue , involve the local community and provide a club that people are proud to be associated with.I have asked , and was advised that there was a supporters club that at its height numbered 18 or so and was a great source of revenue , but had dwindled away .I hadnt seen any social activities but was aware of the race day in october , didnt know it was the supporters club ,i was told ian and margaret was sorting..i have volunteered to help in any way i can..Its great their is a club in existence, as there will be a constitution in place , and i guess chairman and the normal officials..Can anyone let me know who these are , as i have another four people who want to join and help and guess need to run past existing committee....Does the club meet regularly ? and have a programme of social events lined up ? ..im currently talking to agents about resurrecting comedy nights, and the possibility of people like Neil Ruddock, Geoff Hurst, Gordon Banks, Frank Bruno , coming along to the club.I am in the throes of sorting a sportsmans dinner etc with a guy called Tony Clark.I have been sourcing signed memorabilia , to auction or raffle and have been promised stuff from Blackburn Rovers and Burnley .Yesterday , someone called me and told me they,d got me 40 footballs that we can get signed and auction or raffle.Jim Furnell , via Chris Sims has recently got us 6 high quality Adidas balls that we are getting signed to auction.Carlsberg are providing us with merchandise too.At the last game i was talking to Tommy Lawson about arranging a marquee and putting on a sit down event at the club.Gordon Taylor has committed to a night at the club and only this week i have approached Mark Hughes..obviously i dont want to cut across what the existing supporters club is doing if you are already planning a social programme..I guess thats the point of having an active supporters club .Terry , just reign me back if im treading on the supporters club,s toes, ..whens your next meeting ?and can the new volunteers come along ?P s thankyou to the volunteers on the site ..a relaunch of the existing supporters club seems to be the answer ..apologies again to the existing members ..you do a great job for the club.
