Enjoyed yesterdays game immensely,felt there was a real positive feel about shawbridge,and after having to drag myself off to work as soon as the final whistle blew,couldnt wait to come on here and say so now im home !
The team really looks to be coming together and i cant believe how young we look compared with recent years,its like an episode of Byker-grove or should we say "Tommy,s babes". I know its not finished yet, but i think you can see the new managers stamp on the team,theyre certainly giving their all for him, would love to know the average age ? (Peter ?).
I thought the two centre-backs Ryan Parr and Ian Kearney were outstanding,and the young goalie Collinge looks the business,Jacko got a great goal to continue his run and thought Simon Garner gives you that feel of quality when he has the ball,as with the slide-rule pass for the 1st goal. Sargieson seems "inspired" by the new management and looks a differant player this year,while Reno and Stano were their usual effervescant selves,capped by s
Stanos fine goal.
The game could have been 8-2 for us easily and thats possibly the biggest worry,we must put more of our easy chances away but as i say all in all it was a "good-day at shawbridge" now its time for bed.
