Posted by Royf on 1/9/2005, 7:36 pm Eastwood v Belper (10 miles) I know we play Rossy at home on the 17th December but is it a problem to play them twice so close together? The Eastwood v Belper match was originally on 29th August and had to be postponed due to a cup replay so needs re-arranging anyway. The Bishops v Bridlington game is scheduled for 14th September so that's the only spanner in the works....but I'm sure they'd prefer a Bank Holiday clash rather than a midweek game so may postpone it? How come 'the computer' didn't come up with these preferred clashed in the first place? Is it too late to change?

Just been looking at the UniBond Boxing Day fixtures, they've obviously tried to give everyone a local derby if possible so it's strange that we've been paired with Eastwood (124 miles), Rossy go to Bridlington (121 miles) and Bishop Auckland have Belper (144 miles). Wonder why they didn't go with -
Rossy v Clitheroe (20 miles)
Bishop Auckland v Bridlington (89 miles)
