Daylight robbery !!! Simple as that, the ref turned down at least Two stonewall penaltys for handball to clitheroe,one of which was also a red-card for the Goole defender, and all day offered our players no protection yet pulled up and booked our players for minor indiscressions!
On the plus side thought our young side gave us everything after going down to 10 men early, and at no stage were Goole the better side,even with our handicap.
One strange point,what the hell was Benny Philips doing stood on the terraces,watching the game in his shorts,80 yards from the dug-out area???,this seemed to cause some confusion among our defenders in the first half !!!!
