Posted by Cindy I would like to crochet a "Town & Country Afghan" but having trouble finding colors. This is an old, well, not THAT old, pattern - 1955. The pattern calls for 4 shades of gray (light, medium,mist,charcoal) and 4 shades of rose (light, medium, old, dark). I am having a hard time finding a brand that would have 4 shades of each color. Lionbrand Jiffy comes closest with 3 grays and one rose. Red Heart really doesn't have the right colors. Has anyone made this afghan, and if so, what brand colors did you use? Also, would it be possible to just crochet one row after another without working it into strips to be sewn together later? Just making it one big piece? Below is a link to the picture/pattern.
