Check your gauge for the pattern (for example, if 15sts = 4 inches). A queen bed is supposedly 60" wide x 80" inches long; 60 divided by 4 = 15; 15sts x 15 = 225sts (that would just cover the top of the bed, if you want it to hang over add more stitches to each side...8" overhang on each side would be an additional 60 stitches -- 30 per side -- for a total of 285 stitches per row).
