Cate, I am intrigued; how did you come to the 'Brit' (correct) conclusion?
PS: An alternative way for preparing the lemon is to squeeze the juice & then to blanche the pulp BRIEFLY in boiling salted water, one at a time so as not to lower the temperature of the water.
