Mountain Jam XI at Hunter Mountain in Hunter, NY was fantastic this past weekend (GREAT TIME!) with all the joyous folks in attendance (In the Misty Mountains, full of mud, wetness, and incredible light and sound, and then tons of sunshine....!) I was listening to the radio on Saturday morning after arising from the prior late night, JAMMED w/ jamming music (including Grace Potter and the Nocturnals...wonderful energetic VT artists (who brought back the sunshine for a brief moment before the Legendary Englishman (Robert Plant and his Sensational Space Shifters) brought his taste for the English Weather with him to Mist our Mountains and a few eyes (from the joy of having him jam with us in the Majestic Catskills like it was always meant to be!), and of course Warren Hanes' Government Mule, Dark Side of the Mule, unleasing Pink Floyds eternal jams blasting throughout the valley as we all were peaking from an intense night of musical wonderment!
Robert Plant in our backyard! Who would have dreamt...but it happened RIGHT?! That's why I have to hear it again, still can't get over it that he was HERE !
Radio Woodstock (100.1 FM) and streaming everywhere! Just did a replay 6/11/2015 8pm EST of Robert's entire set from Friday 6/5/2015.
I couldn't wait for the REPLAY just wish it was back up on the Mountain with the actual band on a sun filled day (because it poured that day before Plant took the stage and the mountain!)/or cool starry night with all the lovely ladies shaking only the way they CAN! YEAH!!!
Wish Deborah was performing there to, singing her soulful sounds that only she can and picking our heartstrings to the rhythm of our time and with close friends old and new in the beauty of the mountains! I sure hope that there will be another time she could join Robert in upstate NY or somewhere in the Northeast(since that is where I am from)...because it just would be so GREAT! Hope it will happen...a dream to add to the list and the eternal flight of my beloved Zeppelin Airship that will never descend as long as I am standing! I'll spread the word and tunes for all to enjoy and hope others will because we can never let this go! NEVER! Please give my best to Robert and his bandmates, and I sure hope his voice recovers I heard he lost his voice due to illness after our show, hope it wasn't from all the dampness and cool mountain air.
Thank you for all you've given to us (from the entire Bonham family and of course Robert, Jimmy and John Baldwin), and continue to, I hope you know the joy it brings to all those that are on this side of the Atlantic! We Love YA! Please let us know when you decide to venture to this continent! We'll be waiting to cheer you on!
Peacefully waiting for your arrival!
