The Millennium Upland Slow Pitch League has added a lottery that will give teams a chance to win a $250 paid berth to an ASA of PA Advance Play tournament of their choice in 2008.
The lottery is one of the inventive ideas that league officers have come up with to help celebrate the inaugural season of the league.
The 2008 Millennium Upland Slow Pitch League budget has been completed and approved by the league committee and includes paid berths for teams to participate in the 1st Annual ASA of PA District 6 "Champs for Cancer" Classic.
Additional savings to the budget will come from Bats Plus selling the league its softballs at cost and Award Connection doing the same for the two (2) three-foot championship trophies.
The 2008 Millennium Upland Slow Pitch League budget has delivered on its promise to assure teams affordable league fees.
The first league meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 17, 7:30 p.m. at Upland A.C.
