Last night was awesome. Me and everyone else that was at your induction will never forget it. I was in the lobby when your family, teammates, friends and the "Party Bus" arrived. The whole lobby was packed.
The outpouring of love, admiration, respect and pride that was in that banquet room was overwhelming. And your acceptance speech was perfect. It was right from your heart. Watching the pride in your Dad's eyes was truly touching.
You are so deserving of this award. Did you know that the "Marines Banquet" was supposed to be held in our banquet room and we were going to get a smaller room. When they learned of our Hall of Fame celebrity and all of her people, they were more than happy to trade rooms (plus we bought them a keg of beer).
There was an electricity in the air all weekend that was undeniable. It was great. It was an honor to be there, Theresa, and we're proud and truly blessed to have you as our friend.
