Theresa,
Barbara and I would like to congratulate you once again on your well deserved induction into the ASA of PA Hall of Fame.
I have never seen anything even close to the outpouring of support that you received from your family, friends, teammates, co-workers and the members of the District Six staff at this event, ever before.
Of the 352 people who attended the 34th annual Amateur Softball Association of Pennsylvania Hall of Fame banquet, an astonishing 88 of them traveled to Grantville from Delaware County for your induction into the Hall of Fame, prompting the event planners to secure the huge grand ballroom to stage the event.
The long standing ovation you received before your name was even mentioned by presenter Guy Demaio, (when he simply looked to the back of the room where you and the Delco crowd was and said the word "finally") was something special.
It would be topped only minutes later when your name was called for induction, when what followed, was another standing ovation, that lasted for at least two-minutes and was so loud that those 88 people along with your friends from the staffs of District 6 and 14 made it sound more like a thousand.
As Anthony SanFilippo mentioned in his article in today's Sunday Times. "It was Delco at its finest."
That moment is something I will never forget.
Thanks.
