The 2008 Millennium/Bats Plus Early Bird Tournament will now be NASF/ASA sanctioned.
After meeting with NASF Tournament Director - Mike Shenk and NASF Tournament Director/UIC - Bob Ream at the ASA of PA Spring Meeting over the weekend, the decision was made to add the NASF as a sanctioning partner to the ASA for the Millennium/Bats Plus Tournament and was endorsed by ASA of PA District 6 player reps Larry McFadden and D.J. Lauro.
This is an opportunity to promote the NASF and its tournaments to the teams in District 6, along with familiarizing them with their rules and regulations that may differ (i.e. approved bats) from that of the ASA.
The NASF is a branch of the ASA of PA and was commissioned to Steve Dimitry, the state slow pitch commissioner to oversee its operations and appoint a staff, by ASA of PA state commissioner Andy Loechner.

A paid berth to the NASF State Championship that will be held in Lancaster County later this year will be awarded to a team in the 2008 Millennium/Bats Plus Early Bird Tournament.
The 2008 NASF World Series will be held Las Vegas, Nevada.
More information about the NASF and the Millennium/Bats Plus Tournament will be posted on the message board when it becomes available.
