The tournament meeting for the 2008 Daily Local/Sunoco Charity Challenge Championship is scheduled for next Wednesday, August 20th - 7:00 p.m. at Father Nall Field in Ridley Township.
The field is adjacent to Tom n Jerry's Sports Pub.
All teams who have entered the tournament must be represented.
I will be covering the fundraising aspects of the tournament, whose proceeds benefits the American Cancer Society, and tournament director Mike "Modi" Amodei will be going over the tournament rules.
Bob Bell, the President of The West Chester Area Sports Association and ASA of PA District 6/Southeastern Area Modified Player Rep. will talk about the rules and regulations of the Westtown Complex in West Chester and answer any questions teams may have.
After the meeting an open draw for the tournament will be conducted and a drawing will take place where every team will receive a chance to win a Miken Recoil Softball Bat, courtesy of Bats Plus.
All teams will receive ASA scorebooks and the ASA Balls and Strikes Softball Magazine.
Teams who have sold their Charity Challenge raffle tickets are asked to please bring them to the meeting.
