Prospect Park Methodist/Burk's Bend and A. Marinelli & Sons were the first ever winners of the Daily Local/Sunoco Charity Challenge Championship tournament that came to an exciting climax yesterday in West Chester.
Prospect Park Methodist/Burk's Bend won the second game of the finals by the score of 13-12 to win the "Competitive Division" of the tournament after J & P Auto Transport/Eagles Den Sports Bar took Game 1 by the score of 13-5.
Jim Broadbelt from Prospect Park Methodist came away with the "Competitive Division" MVP honors.
A. Marinelli & Sons Building Supply bounced back from an opening game loss to win the "Rec Division" by defeating Taylor Electric by the score of 21-6.
Bryan Allen from A. Marinelli & Sons was named the "Rec Division" MVP.
Mark Kirby of Upland A.C. continued with his prolific fundraising and was named "Charity MVP."
Kirby raised $1,535 with raffle ticket sales.
