The 2008 Millennium Sunday Fall Softball League will have to wait another week to start its 11th season after the rain brought on by tropical storm Hanna left the fields in unplayable condition for tomorrow's games.
Earlier today I traveled to most of the fields the league had scheduled for opening day and found that the amount of water in the usual places on those fields, would not be gone by tomorrow, even if we didn't receive any further rain. Since then of course, torrential rain has passed through the area.
Tomorrow may be a beautiful day, that would be even better with a Phillies sweep and an Eagles win, but the largest ASA Men's Fall Softball League in the state of Pennsylvania will have to wait another week to begin play.
The same opponents will be scheduled against each other next Sunday, September 14th, with one or two possible field changes. Please check the message board for those changes on Tuesday.
