Daily Times...Softball: Millennium Sunday Roundup
The Bulldogs scored the winning run in their last at-bat in both games in sweeping Maggie O'Neill's, 14-12 and 6-5.
Phil McGee's two RBIs tied the score in the bottom of the seventh inning of the second game, then John Cook's sacrifice fly plated the deciding tally.

Jarrid Frye homered, Daeen Salam, Dan Simon and Bharat Ramprasad all were 3-for-3 and Mike Pacitti knocked in four runs in the second game.

Milmont Republican Club 3-4, Untouchables 1-3: Brandon Pettit and Jim Wood had two hits as the Republicans won the opener. Jay Fadge got the winning hit in the second contest in the eighth inning after Brad Diamond hit a two-run homer and Bob Pettit tripled in a run to help Milmont rally from a 3-0 deficit in the second game.

Pogue Mahone's Pub I 12-14, Jimmy Mac's Bar & Grille 9-6: George Siter, Dave Detweiler and John Thomas had three hits as Pogue picked up the first win. John Celona (three hits) and Bill Maier homered and Joe Dean, Sean Reynolds, Mike Smith and Jeff DiBlasi got two hits in the second game.

Sawloon Pub 22-11, Casey's Saloon 8-21: Kevin Orsborn had three singles and a triple and drove in three runs, Craig Love added a single, two doubles and a triple with three RBIs and Mike McElhenney was 4-for-4 (three singles, double) and knocked in three runs to back the pitching of Franny King as Casey's earned a split.

DiValerio had a pair of triples and knocked in two runs and Jason Diamond chipped in with a pair of hits in Game Two.

Moe's Grille Homers 12-8, Riddle Ale House 0-17: Jay Lynch threw a shutout and Joe Gallagher (four RBIs), Gus Creighton (homer, four RBIs) and Mark Matheny (two RBIs) all were 3-for-3 in Moe's win. Riddle had more fun in the nightcap as Rob Stanley went 4-for-4 and was the winning pitcher.

Upland A.C. Young Guns 14-13, Dan Doubet Jewelers 1-3: Mark Atkins, Jim Broadbelt and Than Lunger all went 3-for-3 for the Guns in the opener. Jim Eckels and Frank Smith were 3-for-3 and Atkins and Scott Showalter had two hits apiece in the second game.

Action Concrete 17-16, Da'Beers 2-3: Rob Seifert hit a grand slam and Pat Jordan also homered in Action's first-game success. Craig Calderaio knocked in four runs and flashed his defensive form at second base as Action cemented a sweep.

Dan Collins was 3-for-3 (two singles, double) and knocked in five runs and Chuck Mullin got a single and double with four RBIs as I finished off its sweep of II.

Ashland Pub/Clothes Quarters 21-14, Garrett Ale House 17-7: Shane Patterson had four hits and five RBIs and Jay Maffei, who homered, added four hits and four RBIs and Ashland/Clothes came back from a 15-1 deficit to win the first game. Brice Roscoe and Brendan Downs, returning from injured reserve after two months, both went 4-for-4 and combined to send five runners across the plate in the nightcap.

Columbo Lodge 5, Philly Express 4: D.J. Lauro's hit in the top of the seventh inning gave Columbo a split. Nick Tassone was 3-for-3 (two singles, double). No details on how Express won the opener.

Time Out took a T.O. and didn't tell us about the first game.
