Daily Times: Millennium Sunday Roundup - Overcoming slow start takes Bulldog attitude
After starting the Millennium softball league season 0-6, the Bulldogs rallied to even their record following a doubleheader sweep of Casey's Saloon Sunday.
After batting around twice in the first game, a 17-7 victory, the Bulldogs came from behind to win the second, 8-7.
Tony Love, the winning pitcher in both games, knocked in Mike Janes for the winning run.

Della Polla's Tavern 22-17, Tom n Jerry's Underdogs 12-2: Della Polla's slammed eight roundtrippers in a doubleheader sweep of Tom n Jerry's.
Eric Johnson led the way in the first game, going 4-for-5 with three home runs and a double to knock in six RBIs. Jay Gramlick helped the cause with a 5-for-5 day that included a double and two triples.
In the second contest, Mike Bucella knocked two out of the park and Bob Driscoll added three homers and a triple.

Ashland Pub/Clothes Quarters 11-15, Sligo Irish Pub 6-13: Timmy Flynn and Bernie Dougherty did well in their pitching debuts. In addition to getting a win, Flynn went 3-for-3 in Game 1, while Jay Maffei and Mike Lennon backed the cause with five RBIs and six runs combined.
Dougherty and his brother Jimmy contributed five hits and five RBIs for the sweep.
