The ASA of PA District 6 will host a Modified and Slow Pitch Division of the Charity Challenge Championship at the Kelly Sports Complex in West Chester, this August.
The Men's Modified Division will be played August 22-23.
The Men's Slow Pitch Division will be played the following weekend, August 28-30, using both the Kelly Sports Complex and The Fields at Furey Road in Upper Chichester.
Although I have retired from running the American Cancer Society raffle ticket that raised an amazing $200,000 over the last twelve years I will be involved in helping both tournaments with their fundraising efforts.
It has been agreed upon by the tournament committees that prostate cancer awareness would be in forefront and the focus of the reason why the tournaments are being played.
Plans are currently being made for one of the beneficiaries of both tournaments to be Prostate Health International, in the name of Action News Sports Director Gary Papa, who recently passed away from prostate cancer and who was on the Board of Directors of the organization.
The tournaments will be played under the following banners.
