Daily Times: Millennium Upland "Competitive" - Fradette's play caps title run by Barnaby's Storm
Dan Fradette made a superb defensive play to record the final out and Chance Beebe was 3-for-3 with a home run as Barnaby's Storm knocked off Prospect Park Methodist, 7-4, to capture the Millennium Upland Slow Pitch League "Competitive" Division title Thursday night.
Barnaby's and Prospect Park played three games to decide the champion, with Barnaby's prevailing in the third and fifth contests. In the clinching win, Bob Kelly was the winning pitcher and Joe Battaglini had a pair of hits.
Barnaby's won the first game of the night, 5-2, as Fradette, Joe Rebarchak and John Egan (home run) had three hits each. Battaglini was the winning pitcher.
Prospect Park won Game 4, 9-8, but no details were reported to the Daily Times.
