Nolan,
Congratulations on selling the winning ticket for the "Grand Prize" of the "ASA of PA" Grand Slam Fundraiser, especially when it was to your boss.
Who knows? Maybe you'll receive a larger bonus or an extra vacation day or two this year.
I personally want to thank you for supporting our fundraisers over the last couple of years, whether it was for the American Cancer Society or the ASA of PA.
This was the second time I turned in a Grand Prize winning ticket for the raffle in the final hours before the drawing.
Around eight years ago, Jennifer Walsh, a cancer survivor, who worked at Alliance Bank and who was one of the biggest sellers of the ACS raffle ticket, left twenty-five tickets that she had sold earlier that day at work at her Mom's house.
My wife and I are close friends with Jennifer's Mom. So when Jennifer said she wouldn't be able to make it to the drawing that year and although no one would be home, could I stop by the house, open the back door and pick up the tickets that would be left on the kitchen table, I said sure.
On my way to the tournament, I almost forgot to pick up her tickets, after all I had over 6,000 raffle tickets that I was responsible for getting to the drawing on time.
Lucky for her and the soon to be winner I remembered to pick up the tickets and Jennifer had sold her second Grand Prize winner in three years.
So this was kinda like deja vu for me when I found out you sold the Grand Prize winning ticket.
Thanks, again!
