As of today sixteen Delaware County District 6 teams have entered the 2009 ASA of PA Charity Challenge Championship (Slow Pitch Division) that will be held at the Westtown Softball Complex in West Chester, with its two 300' fenced fields, and at the Fields at Furey Road in Upper Chichester from August 28-30.
In Chester County District 6, they are expecting anywhere between 8-10 teams to register for the tournament by the end of the week.
The tournament will have a three-game guarantee with both "Competitive" and "Rec" flight champions and with an entry fee of only $150.
The invitational tournament is currently open to ASA of PA Men's Class "D" & "E" Slow Pitch teams from District 6 (Delaware & Chester Counties).
The tournament can only accept the first thirty-two teams that enter, so if you would like to register you team, the time to do so is now.
Proceeds from the tournament will be donated to Prostate Health International, in the name of former Action News Sports Director Gary Papa, who recently passed away from prostate cancer and who was on the Board of Directors of the organization.
