The Curran Family would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who participated and contributed to the success of the 2009 Danny Curran Memorial Softball Tournament. This year we were able to raise over $4000. which will be contributed to both Springfield High School and Widener University for scholarships in Danny's name. None of this would have been possible with out the help of so many. Our thanks go out to:
Trump/Anaconda Sports for the donation of all of the softballs. To our umps - Jake Royal,Mel Brooks,Lee Webster and Rocco Donato, thanks for the long day and the great job. To Joe "O" thanks for posting and keeping our name out there. Our gratitude to everyone who worked to get the fields in shape and provided equipment especially Dawnie and Rookie who did so much of the mud work. To Nicky Bigs. thanks for hosting a great party and buffet, we'll be back. To Bea,Bob,Anne, Jessica,Wil and Gretchen, you guys are the best and the hot dogs were pretty good too! To Maris and Josie "from T shirts to Gatorade" and for your friendship and continued support of Dan and Mike, we couldn't do it without you. To Robin and Brennan who helped us triple our raffle and chance money this year, your hard work is so greatly appreciated. To Dan who makes it all so easy for me "to just show up and bring my glove" thank you for all of the Danny memories. To Mike McGrath, my coach and our friend, without you Mike, there wouldn't have been a first tournament-for all that you do, you have our never ending gratitude, appreciation and respect.
And finally to the Softball community, those who played and those who contributed and those who were with us in spirit, there are not enough words to thank you for your friendship and continued support. It was a great day for softball, to be with friends and to have fun. Danny would have loved it. ...Hope to see you in 2010.
