Mare, Sorry I could not make the tournament this year, I always look forward to it, but my son had a soccer game.
I'll always remember the very first one Mike ran when we played you in the championship and we were lucky enough to beat your team. Remember, you (Joe O's Idea, thanks Joe) played a trick on me pitching me that rubber softball? I felt like a fool, but it was all in fun.
All I know is that Mike McGrath gave me a nice MVP trophy to give to whoever on our team deserved it and our whole team looked at each other and nothing was said, but I knew what they were thinking, so me and Roger walked over and presented it you. For what you went through losing a son, and still played all day and had fun with us, I don;t knwo how you did it, God bless you, you were our MVP that day.
I'm glad Mike takes the time to run this event every year to keep your son's memory alive. You are blessed to have such good friends who help organize the event, work on the fields, umpire and most of all are there for you. - Sincerely, Steve Dimitry
