Daily Times: Suburban Women's Roundup - Curran at it again for Appco's/Duke's
Seeing Mary Ann Curran's name in a softball story is not uncommon.
She is one of only two women softball players from Delaware County in the Amateur Softball Association of Pennsylvania Hall of Fame.
Curran had finally decided to hang up her spikes — until the call came this week.
"We needed her to be an emergency fill-in," said Appco's Sports World/Duke's Tavern coach Mike McGrath.
Curran was there in the circle again Friday, spinning pitches that Zac's Hamburgers struggled to hit.
Curran led the way, as Appco's/Duke's rolled to a 14-4 win in a Suburban Women's Slow Pitch "A" Division game.
Caitlin Mundy had four hits and four RBIs in support of Curran.

Dot's Crew 7, Red Lantern 3: Tammy Clarke went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs and Liz DiCostanzo had three hits and two RBIs in a "C" Division game.
