Congratulations to Maggie's Pub on winning the Class E District 6 Championship this weekend in Kennett Square for the 2nd year in a row.
I also want to take the opportunity to thank ALL of the teams who helped us make this a very successful day and for coming to Kennett Square to help us in our efforts to get more ASA Softball to our area. You make it happen.
I personally want to thank Kevin, Beth and Cassie Garris for the time and effort they put in with field work and cooking. Dan Myers and wife Lori and Mike Goudy for your tireless work along with Kevin for being at the field at 5am to prepare it for play from the overnight rain so we could start on time, and still being there at 10pm. A 20 hour day for softball.
Thanks to Joe Organek for his leadership in getting this event to Kennett, to Stu, Frank, Mike and "Jake" as umpires. A special thanks to Little's John Deere sales of Downingtown for your donation in our efforts.
This is why the ASA in District 6 is so successful and we continue to be a leader in softball.
Again my sincere thanks to each and everyone of you in any way who made this event possible. Let's do it again in two weeks for the Class D in West Chester.
