2012 Millennium Sunday Softball League American/National "Rec" Division playoff format and tiebreaker procedures.
Playoff Teams - American/National Millennium "Rec" Division
At the end of the regular season the top four teams in both the Millennium American/National "Rec" Divisions will automatically make the playoffs, regardless of overall record and will use the following tiebreaker(s) listed below for playoff seeding in their divisions.
Teams ranking lower than fourth place in either sub-division can still qualify for the playoffs as long as they finish the regular season with a .500 record or better.
If only eight teams qualify for the playoffs in these divisions, the format will be crossover style in the quarterfinals with the #1 seed in the American sub-division playing the #4 seed in the National sub-division, #2 vs. #3 and so forth.
If a ninth team qualifies based on the .500 record or better rule, the fourth place team with the worse record will play the ninth team in a play-in game to qualify for the quarterfinals.
If a tenth team qualifies based on the .500 record or better rule, both 4th place teams will play the ninth and tenth teams (seeded by record) in a play-in game to qualify for the quarterfinals.
###

b. Their won-loss record vs. each other

Note: In all Best-of-3 playoff series the highest seeded team must be the home team in Game 1 and Game 3 (if necessary).
