It is my understanding that there is some confusion as to how the Millennium Sunday "B", "E" and "Rec" playoffs will work this year.
So, here is an explanation:
Because we have two sub-divisions (American and National), unlike the other Millennium Divisions, the "B", "E" and "Rec" playoffs are bracketed and not seeded for all rounds.
So, this is how the playoffs break down:
Quarterfinals:
Series 1: National 4th place at American 1st place
Series 2: American 3rd place at National 2nd place
Series 3: American 4th place at National 1st place
Series 4: National 3rd place at American 2nd place
Semifinals
Series 5: Series 1 winner vs. Series 2 winner
Series 6: Series 3 winner vs. Series 4 winner
Finals
Series 7: Series 5 winner vs. Series 6 winner
There is no re-seeding and all series are Best-of-3. Higher seed gets to choose the field. In the event two of the same seed face each other (can only happen in championship) the team with the best record gets to choose the field and is considered home.
Higher seeds are home - Games 1 and 3 (if necessary) of each series.
Hope this helps.
