Here's what's in-store for the tournament's "Competitive Flight" Champion & Runner-up of the 5th Anniversary ASA of PA Charity Challenge Championship.
To help celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the ASA of PA Charity Challenge Championship - Bats Plus has decided to give $500 to the winner of the tournament, while Gibbons Legal has increased the prize pool by another $250 that will go to the tournament runner-up.
The tournament committee has agreed that adding a prize pool to the tournament may increase the number of teams who participate, which would add to the fundraising efforts and help make the tournament that had 16 different leagues participating in it last year even more diversified and fun to play in.

The players from the two teams who advance to the championship game will receive Carolina Blue wristbands (which is the color for prostate cancer awareness) to be worn during the game, as a reminder of why the tournament is being played, much like of what is done on Father's Day in Major League Baseball.

Also, the winning team and MVP will be interviewed by professional freelance writer, Bill Rudick, who will write a special for the MillenniumSoftball.com message board.
He will also be seen throughout the weekend taking photographs and getting scores and results from teams after their games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And of course the winner of the tournament will receive the Greg Greenday Memorial Championship Trophy.
Greg Greenday, was the former Sports Editor of the West Chester Daily Local News and one of the people that helped the tournament get off the ground by bringing the newspaper on board as a sponsor.

The ASA of PA Charity Challenge has not used raffle tickets for fundraising since 2008 and has become more of an awareness-raising event, hoping to save lives with education and prostate cancer screening.
But looking back on the amount of money those American Cancer Society raffle tickets raised was truly amazing.
With over 120 prize packages, the American Cancer Society raffle tickets that were loaded with Sports Travel and Memorabilia prizes, raised over $368,000 over a twelve year period and that is a net number, the actual monies the Delco softball community sent to the beneficiary. What an incredible achievement by anyone who ever bought a ticket.
