Hi Susan... The national Canadian newspapers, the Globe and Mail and the National Post, had good biography-style obituaries. The New York Times also had a good write-up. Other sources may include Canada's MacLeans's magazine, and Time magazine. Of course, Denny was mentioned and quoted in all the Mamas and Papas biographies, and books like Laurel Canyon. He appeared as himself several times for videos and movies about the Sixties and the M&P's. I find that I see more of the "real" Denny in audio or video materials - in print, you don't get the twinkle, the voice... A good library should have clippings, or microfiche that you can photocopy.
