Posted by David Teer Oh well I am glad to have been around to see all that. I sure I am around to see what comes next. I remember being in El Paso TX. I was a DJ and was 18 years old and 3000 miles from home and we had a few long distance phone calls very short because they were so expensive. We wrote letters! It is funny now we have e-mail, Yahoo messenger, Internet telephony, and Cell phones, free long distance. Yes we have come a long way since the crash in Roswell! LOL! I really think there was a crash in Japan to tell the truth! OK enough. It was a bittersweet innocent time. I was glad to be a part of it. It really feels weird being young back then and almost 50 now. All those people have died but for a few that we have left. I guess it is a little scary for me looking on back what has all happen in my lifetime already. I am looking for hopefully another 50 years! Well it could happen! Gotta believe it! But I will always remember the Mama's & Papa's, Carol Barnett show! Cass as on that program a lot. I wonder what she would have thought all about this? She was called to sing for God! Her voice was jut so powerful! Later

It is hard to look back on this for me for some reason. I guess 40 years pass and it is overwhelming for me. I hate getting stuck. That was a time that was different. Very different. I was very young but saw it all. I remember JFK, Bobby's, Dr. king's assignations. The Moon missions. I was watching TV when they broke it one evening with the special report about Dr. Kind being shot. I was with my family watching Armstrong take the first step on the Moon! Wow WHAT DAYS HUH? Also seeing the war on TV every evening and being very scared and listening to the Adults talk. What was going to happen next? I guess watching the Mama's & Papa's brought all this stuff back up! T was a lot different. You had a group of people you saw almost every week on TV. It was just TV shows with guess like the rock groups, Lucy, Uncle Milton, Don Rickles, and Johnny Carson etc....It was easy back then. No cable, no HBO no 24 hour TV stations! I remember that all starting and stopping at midnight. Gosh when we got cable it was like getting our first COLOR TV! It is funny the saying was "Bewitched", "GUNSMOKE", "THE FBI" In Color", Then after awhile "In STEREO" (where available) Now it is available in HD and surround sound Digital Dolby! HAHA LOL!
Thanks I am gone. Good luck!
