In the car today, I sang through California Dreaming, 3 times. By the end of this, singing to the track, up loud, shadowing Denny's parts, I felt like I had been to 'the other side', that is, to a place where aesthetic experience can take one. I felt most emotional as I got out of the car, I could hardly stand up. The record is a true piece of art,it is beautiful and I am sure it will live as long as pop music survives. I send all my love to the Mammas and Pappas, an influence upon my own work. You all help me transcend this life, which I sometimes need to do. I wrote a song for you called 'rock & roll paradise city in the sky', where 'Mamma and Michele sing all day' So,love from Marc Lemon(The Kings English)
