Hi Ned,
Just to add to what you wrote, after recording The Voice of Scott McKenzie in 1967 (I think) Scott did record one other album for Ode before "dropping out," 1970's Stained Glass Morning. Unfortunately, it did nothing commercially. I really like that album. In my humble opinion, Scott had some really good vocals.
