That was the worst Dega race I have ever witnessed. BORING. Drivers are riding around single file most of the race due to fear they will get blackflagged because they got too close to another car. How much daylight must there be going into the corners? Who knows? Bet it depends on who is driving. If that was the result of the April race accident then they are wwrong in what they are doing. Carl Edwards got wrecked because he continued blocking Brad Kesolowski. That my frient was NOT bump drafting. They now have this boring turtle of a car and sooo many rules that there is no racing. Even the drivers complain about the smaller restrictor plate as this causes all of the cars to remain bunched up.Oh by the way, did not have a bad wreck despite the dumb rules. Maybe not a lot of cars but a bad wreck. NASCAR drivers know the risks they take day by day and accept it. I say let them race. Open up the restrictor plate enough for them to possibly sepeate the good ones from the bad and have some real racing. Cannot take the plate off completely but give them enough so they can really race. If a driver is too scared to race their give up your ride for that race.
I for one am glad OG and I saw Dega in the days when Dale was racing the the Men raced around that track and wanted the lead all day. They did not ride around in the rear. I would not pay the $$$$ it takes to go there now. Heard all of the outside camper area was empty. They did not want the "drunken rednecks" so who replaced them-No One.
