#1-2004 Kaplan Review Book
Over 900 pages of review material covering everything on the NBDE Part 1 Exam. This is the book from the Kaplan review course that is given out after paying the $1000 or so to take the course. This was an excellent review tool for me in studying for the boards. It touches on every topic in plain text, with diagrams and study helps very similar to that of the DAT review books. This book is used, but in good condition.
#2-Kaplan Test Prep Booklet
This booklet contains some of the materials that were given in the actual Kaplan Review Course such as a review & test-taking skill notes, diagnostic exam, outline & question sets for NBDE part 1 prep, basic science outline and review notes put together by kaplan. These are staple-bound note packets, with some periodic hand-written notes.
#3-Released Exams 1977-1998 (45)
This is a set of 45 individual subject released exams spanning from 1977 to 1998. Some years have all four tests(Anatomical Science, Biochem/Phys, Micro/Path, DA), and then some years only have two of the four subjects, while other years have the other two subjects. In total there are 45 individual tests, four of which are the 2000 Unreleased exam. These are all stapled individually, and are hard copies with answers at the end of each test. Some tests have the answers marked lightly.
#4-Review CD (Dental Decks, Pilot Exam, Unreleased Exam, Kaplan Exams w/ Explanations)
This cd contains all pdf files of the following:
2001 Dental Decks (all four subjects), 2004 Pilot Exam, 2000 Unreleased Exam (in case you didn't like the hard copy), and Kaplan Exams with keys & Explanations (1000+pages) and other misc. study stuff from kaplan.
#5-Head & Neck Anatomy DVD's
This is a two-part dvd set of full head & neck anatomy great for review. This is a little bonus that could make or break that 90% mark on the boards. This was the toughest section for me, as well as most of my classmates and others I have talked to. This is a fantastic dvd that goes through all the anatomy in great detail on meticulously dissected cadavers. The cadavers are not the usual "preserved" cadavers you see in the anatomy lab, they are for lack of a better word, 'fresh' with real color in the tissues. It is narrated by an MD who quizzes you along the way in real time. The whole set (not included) covers the entire body in great detail, and costs around $200. A great review tool. These are not the original discs.
I just took the NBDE Part 1 on the computer at the end of december and passed comfortably with these materials alone. This stuff can get you into the 90's if that is what you desire. I am asking $250 for the whole package, which is a steal. If there is something you want in the package and not others, give me an offer and we will see what we can do.
