Hi Linda.
I can answer a few of your questions. My son is 12 and was put on Lisinopril only last November so we are very new to it. Jack takes his by tablet form as he is older he had the liquid initially and got on fine, Travel insurance husband filled in those forms i will get him to reply on that one.
He has been put on it for the same reasons getting so so tired we call it shut down. it has been a a very gradual change so far. very difficult to tell on the improvement as he is on a huge growing spell as well and this is sapping all his energy as well. Jack is on Asthma medication so he already has that awful cough. life long i don't know i have to be honest not a question i asked. Jack has a leaky valve so i just assumed that he will come off it when the valve is replaced. I am a typical parent i can sometimes only cope with the now not the future.
Hope this has been of some help. When you go in be prepared to be in for a couple of days as they spread the dosage over a few days to check they are coping with it. Only saying as i didn't know this as wasn't prepared.
