Thank you for all this feedback. Really really helpful. I'm now gearing myself for a potential two day/night stay just to be on the safeside.

My son (6) says he will take the medicine as long as 'it doesn't taste minty'! so I've been telling him your children are all very good and take it without complaining!

If he gets a little more energy then it has to be worth it, and I appreciate the sharing on this because sometimes it's really hard to judge someones 'levels' of energy when you are the one having to give the doctors your assessment, knowing it could mean more medicine/treatment etc.
