Hi Linda,
My son has been on this for many years. Started on Captopril as a baby and changed to Lisinopril when he was 11 years old (He's now 15) This was a big improvement as he could just take it once a day (Captopril was 3 times so he had to have it at school). Apart from a 6 month period (about 3 years old) when they took him off it, but he obviously really needed it, so he went back on.
We have never noticed any adverse side effects - no problems.
Travel insurance - we have been rejected by some Companies and I think we always pay a bit more but because of the heart condition, not necessarily the Lisinopril.
I just get it on repeat prescription from Boots, so its always the same Manufacturer (i went to a different chemist one time and it was PINK aaargh he didn't like that!)
Good Luck - if its been recommended,it will support his heart and is sure to be beneficial for him.
Regards
Barbara
